Dear Doctors Joseph and Carol Ball,

Two years ago, at age 43, I was diagnosed with scoliosis, osteoporosis and thoracic spinal degeneration. I was angry, because after 20 years on the "adjustment merry go round" my condition had only deteriorated. Only 1 month ago, I decided to try the Atlas Orthogonal Treatment, under your care.

Dr. Carol took a series of x-rays of my head and neck as I sat in the special Atlas measurement chair. The measurement lines were obviously not straight, and I was convinced she wasn't positioning me correctly (of course, it was my head that, literally, wasn't on straight). The next day, after Drs. Carol and Joe had reviewed the x-rays, I lay down on the table and Dr. Joe put my neck under the Atlas sound wave machine. Nothing ever touched my neck, I only heard a "pop" emitted from the machine. Admittedly, I was a huge skeptic.

The next day I awoke without pain or stiffness, without numbness or tingling. I felt as if someone had zipped me up, and all the teeth fit together perfectly. Nothing hurt. For the first time in years, I could sit in a chair without consciously trying to sit up straight, because now I sat straight naturally. My standing posture was similarly straight and relaxed. Everything was effortless.

Twelve hours after my Atlas Orthogonal first treatment I boarded a red-eye international flight, and 2 days later took a twelve hour bus ride through Central America. Through all this, my back felt great. During the three weeks after my first treatment, I only had one "bad back" day – this is a new record for me.

After years of chiropractic maintenance visits, of feeling like a failure because I could never do enough yoga, or did too much yoga, or didn't stretch enough, or wasn't managing my stress, or couldn't measure up to some other yardstick, finally I feel great. Two days ago, I packed suitcases and lugged boxes without any pain or apprehension. I have more energy, because the old back pain isn't wearing on me.

All these many years, the key was right there: adjust one vertebra, the Atlas, and everything else falls into alignment. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
